CAROLINA CROSSROADS, PHASE 1: Colonial Life Boulevard @ I-126 Interchange
South Carolina Department of Transportation's (SCDOT) Carolina Crossroads is one of the largest construction ventures in South Carolina’s history. The project is broken down in five phases and consists of reconfiguring 14 miles of redesigned corridor along I-20/26/126. Specifically, Phase-I focuses on improvements in Richland and Lexington counties along the interstate corridor of I-126. This project is intended to increase mobility and enhance traffic operations by reducing congestion along the 26/I-126 corridor and accommodate future traffic needs. This includes a portion of the I-126 operational improvements and reconstruction of the Colonial Life Boulevard at I-126 interchange. VSL’s scope consists of signage and overhead sign structures located within the project.
